Palliative Care
Palliative Medicine is available to anyone with a serious illness who needs relief from pain or symptom management, regardless of life expectancy or prognosis. Palliative care does not replace curative care, but instead focuses on relieving a patient’s discomfort and suffering from illness and treatment.
Stein Hospice Palliative Medicine team members are experts in pain and symptom management, including medical cases that are complex and psychologically challenging. The patient’s doctor continues to oversee the patient’s care while consulting with the Stein Palliative Medicine team.
Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance are accepted for payment. Stein Palliative Medicine patients are responsible for co-pays and deductibles.
