Donation Opportunities

A donation in memory or in honor of a loved one can be a special way to celebrate the life of your loved one, to honor someone living or to commemorate a special occasion.

The Stein Hospice Care Center becomes home for our patients and their families, and we do everything we can to make their time with us special. Located at Firelands Regional Medical Center South Campus in Sandusky, the Care Center offers all the comforts of a home plus medical care around the clock.

Meeting the special needs of our U.S. Veterans and their families is both a privilege and a priority at Stein Hospice. We offer a range of services and programs, always delivered with the honor, respect and dignity our Veterans deserve.

The Living Trees are permanent works of art located in the main hallway of the Stein Hospice Care Center and across from the chapel on the 3rd floor. By purchasing a Living Tree leaf you memorialize or honor a loved one and support the continued growth and development of the Stein Hospice Care Center.

Encore is an upscale resale shop operated by Stein Hospice. We accept donations in the form of furniture, jewelry, clothing, accessories, home décor and more. These items are then sold in our retail space. 100% of the proceeds benefit Stein Hospice.

By becoming a “Monthly Giving” donor you are aiding in creating a ripple effect. Ongoing monthly donations allow us to have funds to rely on in order to continue to grow and nourish the programs and services offered at Stein Hospice.

Stein Hospice offers services to patients and families before and after loss as needed.  Other services are offered to the community as well, regardless of previous involvement with Stein Hospice.

The Family Library is open to patients and families at the Stein Hospice Care Center. The library was created with education, reflection and healing in mind. Monetary contributions are used to supply the library with additional books and resources.

Any amount you leave in a bequest to Stein Hospice can reduce the size of your taxable estate while helping a good cause. A bequest may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of an estate or a specific asset.

Light Up A Life is an annual holiday event to remember loved ones who have passed away or honor those still living. An acknowledgement of your gift will be sent to those you wish us to notify. Gifts may be made to Light Up a Life throughout the year.

Virtual Reality allows us to provide the opportunity to enhance the quality of life during the patient’s final journey. Virtual Reality can reduce pain, reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.
